Deductible:

A deductible is the portion of the claim that you are responsible for that is indicated on your policy declaration page. We are responsible only for the amount by which, the insured loss or damage exceeds the amount of the deductible.

Replacement Cost:

If you repair or replace the damaged or destroyed personal property, “we” will pay without deduction for depreciation, the lesser of:

  1. The cost of repairs
  2. The cost of new articles of similar and comparable, kind, quality and usefulness

There are several restrictions on replacement cost.  Please refer to the policy wording.

  

Actual Cash Value:

Will take into account such things as the cost of replacement less any depreciation, and in determining depreciation "we" will consider the condition immediately before damage, the resale value and the normal life expectancy.

Water Damage

If you experience damage to your home from water that escapes from plumbing, hot water heater, dishwasher, sump pit and floor drain or sump pump, the following information may be helpful:
